Angel Ambassadors is a onetime hand up 501c3 non-profit organization formed to bring awareness and contributions to all Veterans causes and needs, because we care.
As many of you may already know, military benefits don’t always last as long as they may be needed. A soldier, upon giving their life for their country still has a family that had looked to them for full or partial financial support. A $100,000 life insurance policy may only last 2 – 3 years. That’s where we hope to be able to step in, helping the remaining spouse with the cost of sending a child to college, making a late mortgage payment, car payment or put food on the table.
However we do not wish to limit support to those who have put their lives on the line for our freedom to only those who gave their lives. Many have returned from war with areas they may need help, as well as family members of those who have served and or are serving.
The VA and Vet Hospitals do what they can, however, who pays to put in a handicap ramp so one of ours who has given his/her legs for their country can get into their own house?
A gas card to get a Veteran to his VA appointment, help with rent or utilities, providing a wheelchair, walker or handicap items…With the support we raise through on line contributions and fundraising benefits, the Angel Ambassadors can.
Lou Plotkin, Margie Krussell and Marcie Newton Co-Founders of Angel Ambassadors, agreed together that more needed to be done for our local Veterans, deployed, returning home and those that have served. Lou served, Margie’s son Ed came home with many needs, and all have many family members who have served over the years. The needs are huge.
Events such as the Annual Golf Outing and fundraisers through out the year, along with corporate, local and online donations will allow us to keep meeting the needs of our Veterans and their families.
We encourage you to teach the children about fundraising for these types of events. They could consist of Basketball Games, Swimming Events, Marathons, Baseball Games, Rock-a-Thons, Walk-A -Thons, Bowl-A-Thons, etc. It’s a great way to get kids involved and teach them about our history and Veterans.
We are always looking for Labor of Love Ambassadors! If you have a talent or an ability that you could share to help us meet a need, please let us know! For instance if we needed to build a ramp for a Veteran and you own a company that could help us do that, Angel Ambassadors would pay for the materials and you would build it!
In return we would link your company to our website and feature your company and photos on our Mission Accomplished pages. Perhaps you are a mechanic and can help fix a Veterans car so he can get to a VA appointment! Or if you would just like to be a part of a Mission and want to paint or swing a hammer…WE NEED YOU! If you would like to become a Labor of Love Ambassador, please call us!
Please visit our website at www.angel-ambassadors.com and click on Missions Accomplished to see directly how and where your contributions have helped.
If you know of any Veteran who needs assistance please fill out our Assistance Request form available on our website and as funds allow we will try and meet that need!
We have ADA equipment and other household items and a food pantry available to pay forward to our Veterans from donations. FREE of charge! Please let us know the need!
We are always looking for Labor of Love Ambassadors. If you want to personally help build a ramp or paint a porch or mow a lawn, whatever the need may be please contact us and we will put you on the list. As needs arise you may be called to active duty!
We have companies that will help with Vision Exams and Glasses, Hearing Aids and Dental.
Angel Ambassadors also has a variety of ADA equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, crutches, canes, etc. If you know of a veteran or family member of a veteran that could use these items FREE of charge, please contact us.
We send “LOVE BOXES” filled with goodies to active duty soldiers…we can send one to yours!
If you would like your soldier to receive one please contact us with his/her name and address and we will gladly send on with local letters of encouragement from school children and our community. These boxes are filled with food items and supplies like wipes, socks, toothpaste etc.
We are all NEED-MEETERS! You can be one too! Helping meet the needs of Veterans and their families because we care!
May God bless you richly and Thank You for your support!
