2017 Missions Accomplished

1-10-17 Mission Accomplished! WWII Army Veteran Dennis Kinert from Pellston is Battling Cancer and needed wood to get him through the winter. We were able to get him 10 cords at $500.00 and two volunteers to take it to him, cut and stack it.

2-13-17 Mission Accomplished! Purple Heart Marine Veteran Edward Waterson of Petoskey needed two bills caught up or utilities would be shut off.
We were able to help with DTE Energy – $274.24 and Great Lakes Energy – $270.00

3-20-17 Per request from Board member William Webb – A donation was made to the American Legion Post 281 to their Veterans Relief Fund which assists area Veterans and their families in their time of need and is intended to help veterans who do not qualify for other relief programs. – $250.00

3-18-17 Mission Accomplished! Navy Veteran 71-74 Chuck Cohee of Mancelona needed help with his only vehicle to get to work with brake lines…We were able to get his car fixed thanks to Tims Tire Center for $676.34

4-10-17 Mission Accomplished! Marine Veteran 2006-2014 Cody Oneill from Mancelona, Who participated in Operation Enduring Freedom, needed brake lines replaced on the families only vehicle. We were able to help his family at 258 Tire & Auto Service in Kalkaska. $706.43

4-24-17 Mission Accomplished! Deborah Potter of Petoskey whose father served in Korea 1954 Timothy Shores needed help with her mortgage from being off work recovering from major surgeries. We were able to help – $744.70 to Charlevoix State Bank
